Hiroshima, Oita

330km ist die Entfernung von Osaka nach Hiroshima, mit dem Shinkansen dauert es gerade mal eine Stunde und dreissig Minuten. Ein letzten Blich auf die Skyline von Osaka und die traditionelle Bahn, dann fliegt man vorbei an Dörfern, Reisfeldern, überquert Flüsse und schon kommt man am nächsten Ziel an.

The distance from Osaka to Hiroshima is 330km, by Shinkansen it takes 1.5h to get there. A last glance to the Skyline of Osaka and the traditional railways, fly along villages, ricefields, crossing rivers and already arriving at the next destination.

Vor 27084 Tagen(heute : 01.Oktober 2019) wurde hier die erste Atombombe als Kriegswaffe eingesetzt(am 06.August 1945). Zuvor hatte der Angriff auf Pearl Harbour eine grosse Zerstörung angerichtet. Einer hat es auf den Punkt gebracht: John Lennon - Imagine. Er war mit Yoko Ono verheiratet und hat sicher für ein paar friedliche Jahre gesorgt.  Und heute?

27084 days ago(today: October 01, 2019) the first atomic bombe has been used a a war weapon(August 06, 1945). Before Pearl Harbour was attacked and distroyed. One person has reflected in a nutshell: John Lennon - Imagine. He was married with Yoko Ono and I'm sure he has brought us some peacefull years. And today?

Ausserhalb Hiroshima ist die Insel Miyajima mit dem 'schwimmenden' Torii des Itsukushima Shrine, durch das seit 1168 das Meerwasser bei Ebbe und Flut strömt(ein UNESCO Welt Kultur Erbe). Wir waren zwei mal dort, am ersten Tag war Ebbe, klar haben wir gesehen, dass das Torii renoviert wird und deshalb eingehüllt ist. Trotzdem wollten wird bei Flut noch einmal kommen. (Die Bilder ohne Schutz sind von Kalender in Dorf aufgenommen.) Mit dem JR Pass kann man die Fähre von Miyajimaguchi benutzen. Die Renovation dauert 2 Jahre. Wer da hin geht sollte abklären ob das Torii frei ist und wie die Gezeiten sind, Flut ist auf jeden Fall schöner.

Outside of Hiroshima is the Island Miyajima with it's Floating Torii of the Itsukushima Shrine(UNESCO World Heritage). Since 1168 the seawater streams through the gate for low and high tide. We have been there twice, the first day it was low tide, of course we have seen the Torii was wrapped for rennovation, however we wanted to see it at high tide as well. (The pictures without wrap are taken for a calendar in the village). The ferry to the Island from Miyajimaguchi is included in the JR pass. If you plan to go there, better check if the Torii i stil wraped and also check the tide, high tide is certainly more beautiful.

Wir haben unsere Japanreise in Tokyo angefangen und sind unterdessen in Oita angekommen. Darum hier noch eine Übersicht wo wir überall gewesen sind.
Den Besuch in Oita haben wir weit im Voraus geplant - speziell um an einem Rugby-Spiel der All-Blacks zuzuschauen und einmal den Haka live zu erleben.
Wir sind voll auf unsere Rechnung gekommen: die All Blacks haben Kanada mit 63 : 0 geschlagen. Die Organisation war ebenso perfekt wie der Haka, das Spiel und das Resultat! Da es leicht geregnet hat wurde das Dach des Stadions geschlossen - das schreibt sich so einfach - immerhin fasst das Oita-Stadion 40'000 Zuschauer!

Our Japan visit started in Tokyo, in the meantime we have arrived in Oita. That's why here is an overview where we have been.
We have planed the visit to Oita a long way ahead - particular because we wanted to see a rugbygame of the All Blacks and see the original Haka live.
We have enjoyed every minute: the All Blacks won their game vs. Canada 63 : 0. The organisation was as perfect as the Haka, the game and the result. It was misty that's why the roof of the Stadion was closed - writing that is so easy - however the Stadion is huge and can hold 40'000 spectators!

Es ist ein unvergessliches Abenteuer gewesen, doch die Rugby WM ist noch nicht vorbei. Für Kevin hoffe ich, dass Südafrika im Final gegen die All Blacks spielt. Und für Michelle wünsche ich, dass die All Blacks gewinnen!

Der Traum der All Blacks ist nicht in Erfüllung gegangen - aber der von Süd Afrika (den Springboks).

It's an unforgettable Adventure, but the rugby WC isn't finished yet. For Kevin (we met in Fidlers Pub) I hope South Africa makes it to the final against the All Blacks. And for Michelle I wish the All Backs win! The Dream of another Victory of the All Blacks didn't come true - the the Dream of the Springboks did!
