Trotz der vielen Leute hatten wir von Anfang an ein sicheres Gefühl in Peking.

Even so there are many people, we had a save feeling form the begin here in Beijing.
Unser erster Ausflug war zum Vogelnest, inklusive einer 'VIP' Führung. Die Grösse der Stadions wird erst von innen richtig sichtbar. Auch die verwinkelte Konstruktion findet sich in vielen Details immer wieder.

The first tour war to the Olympic Park and it's Birdnest. How big the Stadion is can only been seen from inside. The construction with it's many angles can be found in many details.
Auf geht's zum Sommer Palast, es ist mehr als ein Palast es ist ein riesiger Park mit vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Let's go the the Summer Palace, it's more than a palace it's a huge park with many highlights.
Hinein ging es durchs Osttor, vorbei an der Suzhou Strasse (Suzhou liegt ausserhalb von Shanghai und wird auch das Venedig Chinas genannt) weiter hinauf zum Sommer Palast. Dann auf der anderen Seite runter zum Kunming See.

We enterend the park through the east gate, passed by the Suzhou street (Suzhou is outside Shanghai, it's also called the Venice of China) than up the hill to the Summer Palace and finally down on the other side to the Kunming lake.
Mit dem Drachenboot ging's zur siebzehn Bogenbrücke, zum Bronce Ochsen und zum NiHeYuan,dem Haupttor des Sommer Palasts. Mit der elektrischen Ridschka zur Metro.

We took the dragonboat the the seventen arches bridge, went to the bronce ox and left the park through NiHeYaun, the main gate to the summer palace. The electric ridshka took us to the metro.
Schlussendlich ein paar Bilder aus der Stadt am Tag und in der Nacht. Vom Südtor beim Grossen Platz (TienAnMen) geht's in die QiAnMen Strasse. Da fährt wirklich noch das Tram, für Touristen. Ein Blick auf das bekannte QuanJuDe Restaurant für Pekingente.
Auch wir haben Pekingente gegessen aber im SiJiMinFu in der Nähe des Swissôtel. Auf ein Bier gings noch in die Strasse mit den vielen Bars (SanLiTun) auch in der Nähe des Hotels. Mit dem Superschnellzug (350kmh) gings zurück nach Shanghai.

Finally some pictrues of the city on the day and by night.Starting at the south gate at the TienAnMen we went into QiAnMen street. There is still a tram running, for tourists. We had a glance to the well known Beijing Duck restaurant QuanJuDe. We also has Beijing Duck at SiJiFuMin close to the Swissôtel. Later we went for a beer in the street with the many bars (SanLiDun) which is also close to the hotel. The super highspeed train (350kmh) took us back to Shanghai.
