Ganz anders als viele der Chinesischen Sehenswürdigkeiten ist Xinjiang, hier dominiert die Natur. Die wichtigsten Touristenorte sind gleichzeitig Nationalparks. Da kommt man 'nur' mit den öffentlichen, gut organisierten, Verkehrsmitteln hinein. Unsere Reise führte von Wurumuqi(1) nach Tanaki(2), Jili(3), SaiLiMuHu(4), KuiTun(5), KeLaMaYi(6), BuErJin(7), KaNaSi(8), FuYun(9), KeKeTuoHai(10), TienShanTianChi(11) und wieder zurück nach Wuzrumuqi(1). Mehr als die Hälfte der Einwohner sind Moslem. Weitere Bilder sind in der Galerie.

Different then many other places in China, in Xinjiang dominates the nature. The Tourist hotspots are in national parks. That's why the well organized public transportation must be used to get inside. Our trip started in Wurumuqi(1) than to Tanaki(2), Jili(3), SaiLiMuHu(4), KuiTun(5), KeLaMaYi(6), BuErJin(7), KaNaSi(8), FuYun(9), KeKeTuoHai(10), TienShanTianChi(11) and back to Wuzrumuqi(1). Zusammen mit unseren Freunden ging es zuerst über einen Pass in den Borohoro Bergen ins Grasland von Nalati(2). Die Berge bestehen mehrheitlich aus Geröll, daher wird die Strasse im Frühherbst ganz geschlossen - wegen Steinschlag.

Together with our friends first we passed the moutains of Borohoro to get into the valley of Grasland Nalati(2). The mountains consist mainly of loose rocks and that why the pass is closed early in the autumn.
Über Nacht waren wir in einem 'Bungalow', am nächsten Morgen gings mit dem Bus ins Nalati Naturschutzgebiet mit dem Bus. Am Abend waren wir im Jili in DongXin International Hotel. Jili (oder Ili)(3) liegt nahe an der Grenze zu Kasakstan.

We stayed the night in a bungalow, the next morning we visted the Grasland of the Nalati Resort by bus. By the evening we arrived in Jili at the DongXin International Hotel. Jili (or Ili)(3) is close to the border to Kasakstan.
Der Gebirgssee Sailimuhu (Sayram Lake)(4) war das nächste Ziel, 2h Auto und 2h Bus so langsam gewöhnt man sich an die riesigen Distanzen. Das Ziel am Abend war das L-Lan Holiday Hotel in KuiTun(5), nochmal 4h Auto fahren. Inklusive Polizeikontrolle um 11h Nachts.

The mountain lake resort Sailimuhu (Sayram lake)(4) was the next destination. 2h by car and 2h by bus - we are getting used to the long distances. For the night we stayed in the L-Lan Holiday Hotel in KuiTun(5), 4h more by car. Including police check at 11pm.
Gleich 7h Morgens ging's weiter zu den 'AAAA Scenic Aera' der Welt Geister Stadt Sulu Mikhak, mit einer Formenvielfalt und Farben von Gelb bis fast Rot. Der Name kommt vom Heulen des Windes auf Mongolisch Sulu MikHak bedeutet 'wo der Geist heult'. Hier wurden auch bekannte Filme gedreht wie z.B. 'Tiger and Hidden Dragon', 'Hero' und 'No Man Land'. Gleich auf der anderen Strassenseite beginnt das Ölfeld der Wüste Gobi - daher ist die Gegend wohlhabend.

At 7am we started our journey to the 'AAAA Scenic Aera' the Ghost Town Sulu MikHak with a variety of forms anf colours from yellow to almost red. The name in Mongolian Sulu Mikhak means a place ghosts haunt. Well known movies have been turned heresuch as 'Tigen and Hidden Dragon, 'Hero' and 'No Man Land'. Across the road is the beginning of the oilfields of the Gobi Desert - that's why it's a wealthy region.
Auf dem Weg nach BuErJin(7) mussten wir unbedingt den Sonnenuntergang am 'Rainbow Beach' sehen. Auf einer Rundreise in Xinjiang muss man mindesten einen Sonnenuntergang gesehen haben! Dann ging's ins Friendship Peak Hotel in BuErJin.

On the way to BuErJin(7) we had to see the sunset at the Rainbow Beach. On a roundtrip in Xinjiang it's a must to see the sunset at least once! We than went to the Friendship Peak Hotel in BuErJin.
Der Kanasi Nationalpark(8) ganz in der Nähe der Mongolei hat einen Aussichtsturm, den man zu Fuss erreichen kann. Der Fluss KaNaHu hat unvergessliche Merkmale: die Mondkurve und die Dracheninsel. Übrigens bigbrother ist immer mit dabei, ich bin sicher die chinesische Administration kann jeder Person fast auf den Meter genau im ganzen Land folgen und überwachen, wenn sie wollen. Übernachtet haben wir im Brich Forest Hotel.

The Kanasi Resort(8) is next to Mongolia. There is a obersvaton Tower which can be reached by hiking. The river KaNaHu viewpoints are: Mooncurve and Dragonisland. By the way, big brother is everywhere. I'm sure the chinese administraton can follow a persons track in whole China with a very high precision, if they want to. For the night we stayed in the Brich Forest Hotel.
Auf dem Weg zum nächsten Ziel dem traditionellen Dorf HeMuChun , haben wir viele Schaf- und Kuhherden auf dem Alpabzug gesehen. In HeMuChun kann man hausgemachte Spezialitäten essen wie z.B. Brot aus Mehl, Milch, Butter, Eier und Hefe oder Schafspiess vom Grill. Nach einem kurzen Aufstieg auf eine Weide kann man das Dorf von ober überblicken. Am Abend ging's wieder ins Friendship Peak Hotel in BuErJin.

On the way to our next destination, the traditional village HeMuChun, we have seen many sheep flocks and kuerten on their way from the mountain into the valleys. In HeMuChun local specialties are available such as grilled sheep or local bread made from flour, milk, butter, egg and yeast. For the night we wend back the the Friendship Peak Hotel in BuErJin.
Für den Besuch am KeKeTuoHai(10) haben wir gerne wieder mal 6h im Auto gesessen. Es ist eine AAAAA Scenic Aera! Wow!!
Übernachtet haben wir im Hotel ShangShiQuiDian in FuYun(9).

Abfahrt 7h morgens und wieder 6 Stunden auf den Strassen von Xinjiang! Als Abschluss der Rundfahrt stand der Himmelssee TienShan TienChi(11) auf dem Programm, auch kleine Schweiz genannt - wer die Bilder sieht weiss sofort warum. Wir fühlten uns einwenig zuhause :).
Danach ging's am einem 30km Lastwagenstau vorbei zurück nach Wurumuqi. Der Grund für den Stau: jeder Lastwagen musste auf die Waage, da gibt es wohl einen Engpass.

At 7am and another 6h in the car brought us to Heavens Lake TienShan TienChi(11), also called Little Switzerland. When you see the Pictures you will know why. We felt a Little like at home :). On the raod again we passed by a 30km traffic jam of trucks. The reason the weight of every truck had to be measured, they had a bottleneck there. We arrived late in the evening in Wurumuqi.
Am 10. Tag haben wir Xinxiang wieder verlassen, dies mit vielen tollen Erlebnissen und Bildern auf der Homepage und vor allem im Kopf - es war grandios!

On day 10 we left Xinxiang, with a lot of experiences and pictures on the web and of course in memory. It was gorgious!
