Australien und Neuseeland --- Australia and New Zealand

Am Anfang war Cairns mit den Krokodilen und dem Great Barrier Reef.  ---  We began in Cairns with the croc’s and theGreat Barrier Reef.

Mit dem Greyhound gings nach Alice Springs und dann mit der Gruppe zum Kings Canion und Uluru (auch bekannt als Ayers Rock) inclusive Übernachtung unter freiem Himmel.

By greyhound we continued to Alice Springs, there we joined the groupe and went to Kings Canion and Uluru (also known as Ayers Rock) including a night under the open sky.

Per Flugzeug gings von Alice Springs nach Brisbane und dem nahegelegenen Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Dort gabe eben Koala aber auch Kangaroos zu sehen.
We than took the plan from Alice to Brisbane and it’s Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Not only Koala can be seen there but Kangaroos too.

Weiter ging’s mit dem Motorhome entlang der Ostküste und ab und zu einem Abstecher in den Regenwald. Vom Surfers Paradise ging’s zum O’Reilley’s National Park, im Hinterland der Goldküste,mit seinem Baumkronen ‚canopy‘ Weg.
By motorhome we continued along the east coast and some detour in the rainforests.  Leaving Surfers Paradis we went to O’Reilleys National Park with it’s top tree canopy walk.

Coff's Harbour mit der Mutton Insel war unser nächstes Ziel. Am 6. November Melbourne Cup, waren wir am schönsten Campingplatz der ganzen Reise, dem Trial Bay Gaol Campground, South West Rocks. Kangaroos überall - herrlich
Coff's Harbour with it's Mutton Island was the next destination. November 6, Meelbourne Cup Day, we were at the nicest campground of our whole trip: Trial Bay Gaol Campground, South West Rocks. Kangaroos everwhere!

Die grössten Dünen der südlichen Hemisphere liegen  an der Anna Bay, dort ist ein Dingo einfach an uns vorbei spaziert. Nach einem Abstecher ins Hunter Valley Weinbaugebiet sind wir in die Blue Mountains zu den 3 Schwestern gefahren. Diese sind unmittelbar neben Sydney.
The biggest dunes oft he southern hemisphere are located at Anna Bay. There dingo crossed our way. We made a detour to the wine region of Hunter Valley and continued into the Blue Mountains to see the three sisters. They are already close to Sydney.

Sydney hat mehr zu bieten als das wundervolle Opernhaus und die einmalige Harbour Brücke. Die Stadt mit den Meeresarmen und den Schiffverbindungen hat auch Parks, interessante Museen und nahegelegene Ausflugsziele wie z.B. den Manly Strand.
Sydney has more to offer then the wonderfull operahouse and the unique harbour bridge. The town with its inlet and the boat connections has parks, interesting museum and local attractions e.g. Manly Beach.

In  Wollongong waren wir überrascht den grössten Buddah Tempel der südlichen Hemisphere zu finden.
Es folgte eine Regenfront im Wombat Hill B&B (in der Nähe von Berry) konnten wir die zwei Tage entspannt geniessen.
We were surprised to find the biggest Buddhist Temple of the southern hemisphere in Wollongong. Than two days of heavy rain followed, we spend them relaxing in Wombat Hill B&B, near Berry.

Zwischen Sydney und Canberra: Das Wetter klarte auf und wir konnten in Kiama das Blowing Hole und den Strand besuchen. Die Wasserfälle im Kangarootal hatten dank dem Regen sehr viel Wasser. ---

The weather cleared up and we went to see the blowing hole and the beach in Kiama. The waterfalls in the Kangaroo Valley had lots of water because of the rainfalls. Still in between Sydney and Canberra.
