Eine der längsten
Seilbahn der Welt geht es mitten aus der Stadt Zhangjiajie hinauf auf den Berg TienMenShan, der eigentlich ein Tafelberg ist. Länge 7‘455m, der Rekord ist in Vietnam mit 7‘900m.

Der TienMenShan hat fünf herausragende Merkmale: bis zu 400m hohe Felswände rund herum, die Wanderwege in den Felswänden
(z.T. mit Glasboden), zwölf Rolltreppen mit einer Gesamtlänge von fast 900m, ein Felsentor und eine
kurvenreiche Strasse mit 99 Kurven.

The TienMenShan has five characteristics: rock walls all aroud with a heigth of up to 400m, the walking ways in the walls (partly glass bottomed), twelve escalators with a total length of almost 900m, a natrural moutain penetrating
cast cave and a road with 99 curves.
Die Rolltreppen
führen durch Tunnels zunächst zum Felsentor und anschliessend hinunter zur Bushaltestelle – Ausgangspunkt für die kurvenreiche Strasse hinunter in die Stadt.

The escalators are built into tunnels, the first exit it at the cast cave, the second at the busstop – beginning oft he curves road down to the town.
Den zweiten Teil unserer Reise in der Zhangjiajie
Region haben wir in Wulingyuan verbracht. Zu Fuss konnten wir zur Busstation zum TienZeShan Nationalpark gehen. Mit dem Bus ging‘s zur Talstation des Tienze Mountain Cableways und dann mit der
Seilbahn ins Karstgebirge. Ein weiterer Bus brachte uns zum TienZe Pavillon. Da gibt es verschiedene Aussichtsplattformen von denen man die säulenförmigen Berge bewundern kann.

The second part of our trip tot he Zhangjiajie region we have spent in Wulingyuan. By wlaking we
coud access the entrance to the TienZeShan nationalpark. To the cablecar the transport is organized by bus. From the upper station of the cablecar a bus is connecting to the TienZe pavillon.
There are viewing platforms to see the amazing mountain peaks.
Jede der Säulen hat einen klangvollen Namen, wie z.B. ‚The Warrier Training Horses‘ ‚Der Kreiger Trainiert
Pferde‘, ‚Three Sisters‘ ‚Drei Schwestern‘ oder ‚Cook Looking Back‘ ‚Der Koch Schaut Zurück‘.
Während des Abstiegs über 5000 Stufen änderte sich der Blickwinkel immer wieder. Erst von unten gesehen zeigen die Säulen
ihre mystische Schönheit.

Each oft he peak has it’s own name,e.g. ‚The Warrier Training Horses‘,‘ Three Sisters‘ or ‘Cook Looking Back’.
Wile we wend down the stairs (5000 steps) the angle of view changes all times. Looking at the
peaks from lower level shows their real beauty.
Der Zhangjiajie UNESCO Global Geopark liegt in der
Provinz Hunan N29°13‘19“-29°27‘27“, E110°18‘00“- 110°41.15“, er umfasst 392km2 und 3000 Gebrigssäulen, wovon über 1000 höher als 200m sind. Er liegt zwischen 300m und 1300m ü.M.

300m.
The altitude is 300-1300 above sea Level.
Da war doch noch was?! Ja klar: Avatar. Ein Teil der TienZeShan diente als Inspiration und Kulisse für den epischen Film.

Zum Abschluss unseres Besuchs in den TienZeShan haben
wir die 7km Wanderung durch das Tal des JingBianXi(Golden Whip Fluss) gemacht. Dies inklusive
erfrischendes Wasser aus einer natürlichen Quelle!

At the end of our visit to the TienZeShan was have made the 7km hike through the JingBianXi (Golden Whip Crag) valley. Including refreshing water from a natural spring!
Die Stadt FungHuangGuCheng liegt am Toujiang Fluss und
ist bekannt für ein Lichtermeer abends am Fluss. Aber auch am Tag bieten sich viele attraktive highlights. Z.B. die Brücken und Fusswege über den Fluss, oder die Läden und Restaurants in der
Altstadt.

The town FungHuangGuCheng is on the Tooujiang river, it’s known fort he scenic lights in the evening. Also during the day the city is very attractive with it’s bridges and walkways across the river or the little shops and restaurants in the ancient part of the city.
